Glasgow Print Studio presents new work by Bobby Johnstone, exploring themes of Faith, Myth and Magic and how they shape our imagination, beliefs, and sense of self. Johnstone’s imagery reflects on the human need for meaning and the ways illusion and myth influence our understanding of the world.
A graduate of the Central School of Art and Design and Goldsmiths’ College, London, Bobby taught Art and Design for over 30 years in South Ayrshire and continues to teach Life Drawing and Portraiture in Troon and West Kilbride. He is an artist member of Glasgow Print Studio and the Paisley Art Institute, and serves on the committees of Ayr Sketch Club and Troon Art Club.
His work has been shown at venues including the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, Royal Scottish Academy, and MacLaurin Art Gallery, among many others.
