Jim Lambie, 'We Love You', digital pigment print, 76 x 56cm, edition of 50

For over five decades, Glasgow Print Studio has been a vital part of Scotland’s cultural life - supporting artists, nurturing creativity, and connecting communities through printmaking.

However, we are now facing a serious and immediate challenge.

Over the last few months, we have opposed rent and service charge rises that threatened our future in Trongate 103, where we have been a tenant since 2009. We are grateful that Glasgow City Council have stepped in to provide intermin (12 month) support and made a commitment to the long-term future. However, the cost of rent has increased by more than double (122%) the original level, and we will need to generate additional income every month to meet the terms of this arrangement.

Without urgent support, this pressure puts everything we do at risk.

Glasgow Print Studio is more than a workshop and gallery - it is a creative lifeline:

• A professional printmaking workshop used by more than 320 artists, delivering over 5,000 sessions annually

• A place where 150+ leading contemporary artists have created ne
w work

• A learning hub supporting 400+ people each year, from beginners to emerging artists

• A cultural destination hosting 20+ exhibitions and welcoming 20,000+ visitors annually

• A nationally significant archive of over 3,000 fine art prints

At the heart of all this is you - our community.

Glasgow Print Studio is more than a place. It’s a home for artists, art lovers, learners, and visitors who walk through our doors and become part of something bigger. It holds Glasgow’s cultural heritage in its walls, in its presses, in every mark made here.

It’s a home, too, for the staff and skilled technicians whose passion, care, and craft bring this space to life - who make the work possible, and who nurture the community that grows around it. Your support will sustain this unique resource, and we are asking for your help.

At Glasgow Print Studio, it’s business as usual. Our doors are open, classes are running, and artists are in the workshop every day - making, teaching, and exhibiting their work. At the same time, we’re facing rising rent and increasing running costs.

We need your support now more than ever to help secure the future of the organisation and our place within Trongate 103.
