David Palmer

“For a number of years I have found inspiration in simple everyday objects, in particular, the jug”.

Palmer enjoys trying to capture their expressions, personalities, moods and emotions as if drawing a portrait. Intrigued by the shadows cast by, or on objects that reveal a sense of place and time.
 
The chosen medium is etching which allows Palmer to create rich textures and atmospheric tones through scraping, polishing and re-etching to create the desired effect.
