Working with and finding overlaps between diverse forms of drawing, painting, printmaking, photography and collage, Marion's work focuses on aspects of landscape representation, locating for her a sense of identification and intimate belonging. She adopts a reductive approach with line, form, tone and colour, delicately balancing figuration with abstraction. Pared-back lines, in some works, evoke a suggestive 'liminal' state in the imagery and seeming fragments allude to monumentality.
Marion graduated from Glasgow School of Art's Fine Art Printmaking department in 2002, where her degree show won her the Cargill Travel Scholarship Award.
Alongside her own studio practice she currently works part time at Glasgow Print Studio as Gallery Manager.
